Cruises
This section will direct your attention to the various
cruise lines that set sail from Florida's Atlantic coast, only 50
minutes drive from Kissimmee. --- --- These floating resorts have always been a popular
activity in the Florida Vacation market.
Though the majority depart from the ports of South Florida, the
popularity of Central Florida has led to a development of a new
series of services. Disney Cruise Lines, Carnival Cruises and the
Casino Cruises all depart from nearby Cape Canaveral.
Probably the best route is to take Hwy417 to Hwy 528 East (the
Beeline Expressway), then after passing Interstate 95, you'll cross
the Indian River and signs for the port will begin to appear.
If your in the area anyway and heading for Cocoa Beach, only a few
miles down the road, take a side trip to just marvel at the scope of
the facilities and the size of the ships. It's always a big hit with
the kids.
Even though this is a little away from the US Hwy 192 area, our main
focus, we felt that it would also be in our viewers best interests
to make you aware of the facilities, schedules and Cruise Lines that
operate.
