Photo Processing
Being on vacation, you'll naturally
want to take some photographs to take home to show off to your
friends and relatives.
Besides it's a visual record of your experiences that you'll
treasure for years to come.
You will find an abundance of services along US Hwy 192 catering to
your photographic skills.
This section will try to give you some direction in this matter...
--- ---
Let's start with your hotel first...
Depending on where you're staying your hotel may or may not have
photo processing or rolls of film available. If they do, you'll
usually find the services available via the Front Desk and film
available in the gift shop.
Like any convenience you may use at a hotel, you're usually going to
pay a little more for the service.
Our recommendation is just to use any one of the area businesses
that offer film and photo processing. There are many to choose from.
Check with Coupon Booklets for offers.

Photo Processing can be found in grocery stores, department stores,
gift shops, photo shops or in any one of the area's pharmacies. All
offer film and related supplies.
Prices can be extremely varied. In fact, sometimes you may want to
consider looking at a multiple purchase of a 3-5 'special pack' of
film rolls of 24-exposures each. Many times these will be specially
priced and will offer you the best value. Sometimes equating to the
cost of two rolls of film, yet you get an additional 2-3 rolls in
the bargain.
It may take a few minutes of your time but the savings should be
well worth it.
--- ---
Another popular and cost-effective method of taking photographs are
the 'one-time-use' disposable cameras.
Cost-wise, you should always shop and compare, but we have usually
found Wal-Mart to offer the best prices.
These cameras are a truly handy invention and generally cost around
$10.00.
Each comes with 24-27 exposures in a 35mm format.
You simply take the photos as you normally would and when you're out
of film, turn in the camera to the nearest photo processors. They'll
take out the film, develop it and then recycle the camera.
Many of these businesses will either offer 1-Hour or same day photo
processing.
Most of the area pharmacies will also offer this service and may
offer you a 2nd set of prints at no-charge.
The area pharmacies are usually open 24-hours a day for your
convenience.
--- ---
Special Note: If purchasing this type of camera, always be sure to
see if it comes with a flash as some do and some don't.
If you're going to be taking photo's mostly outside such as at the
attractions, the best prices will always be the camera type marked
specifically for outdoor use.
