Dry Cleaning & Alterations
Maybe you needed a button sewn back on a pair of trousers you wanted
to wear the next evening (don't worry, we enjoyed the buffets too),
or perhaps you found that perfect article of clothing, but it didn't
fit and it was the last one.
This section will cover those services, and maybe even give you a US
history lesson as well.
--- ---
First of all, these shops are out there, but not always easy to find
(even for locals).
Two do come to mind, one located at the Publix Plaza at the junction
of Hwy 535, the other on the West end of US Hwy 192, in the Formosa
Gardens Shopping Mall.
Unless you use one of these or the services located in your hotel,
such as Valet service or laundry facilities, you'll probably have to
go a little further East towards the City Center.
Around Vine Street and East Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy you'll find
the full-service cleaners and coin-operated laundries of the area.
Catering more to the local population, many will offer same-day
service, alterations, shoe repairs, leather cleaning and
monogramming.
There are also some that offer washing, drying and folding services.
Check in your Yellow pages.

Now, it's time for your history lesson (remember, we warned you).
One of f the largest drycleaner chains in the US is 'One Hour
Martinizing' which always seems to take the top spot. There is one
at Formosa Gardens Shopping Mall.
For more information on this process, and how it all got started
your lesson begins
