Passport requirements...

From October 26th 2003 all visitors to the USA (traveling under the Visa Waiver Programme) are required to have a 'machine readable' Passport...
 

The new 'Red' type with the data code below the picture. By all, they mean all - children are no longer be allowed to travel on a parent's or shared Passport.

Or, take your passport along to a main Post Office, where they will check it free of charge. You can also ask your Travel Agent for more info (if you used one).


Your kids will probably have their own passport, but some Mums who had them added just before the rules changed (October 1998) may still have them listed.

Passports are checked before leaving the UK - on and after October 26th 2003 persons will not be allowed to board the aircraft without their own 'machine readable' Passport.


If, you have a US Visitor Visa - you are not affected by this ruling.
